Snow Elves, Crossbows and Vampires may be coming to Skyrim via DLC

The Skyrim denizens that frequent the open-world RPG's official forum have been digging around the latest update and discovered what could be some of the content that'll be included in the game's DLC.

[Morrowind crossbow, not indicative of Skyrim DLC]

The nosey Nords have stumbled across a folder named 'DLC01' in Skyrim update 1.5.26. Said folder apparently contains assets for new Snow Elf characters, a Snow Elf Princess, crossbows and new vampire animations such as feeding and hypnosis.

ZeniMax Media, parent company of Skyrim dev Bethesda, filed a trademark for Dawnguard last month, sparking speculation that it could be the name of an upcoming DLC expansion for the game. However, Bethesda has kept its lips tightly sealed on the matter.

Really hoping to hear more about the Snow Elves becoming Falmer through this DLC. It involved the Dwemer and that lore always intrigued me.

Skyrim's DLC will be called "Dawnguard." Bethesda dropped the title, the image you see above on their blog, but they gave very little other information. Although we do know that it's coming this summer to Xbox 360. Bethesda promises more details about the downloadable content at E3 2012
