and the girl yelling at the cop and the guy on his knees sorta bugged me, seemed like glory hounds.

They weren't in my eyes. I watched it live, and the police illegally trapped (kettled) them on the side, and in front of the YMCA.

You can't close off all exits, then issue a disbursement order and eventually arrest them all for refusing to leave. That's why it's so important to have all those cameras going. The cops were mad, because they tried to kettle them elsewhere and they hopped fences and got away. The mayor wanted a sweep and they were going to nab as many as they could, by any means.
