Borderlands 2 Gunzerker Class Reveal

If you’re anything like me, Borderlands 2 is at the top of your most anticipated game list. And now, Gearbox is letting us in on some of the new things we will be seeing in the second game. There are going to be some new classes in 2, and they will be taking notes from the previous classes skill trees. They detailed one of those classes, the dual-wielding Gunzerker.

The primary action skill for the Gunzerker will be, surprise! dual-wielding. But the three skill trees will be able to modify that ability. There will be the Rampage tree, which will accent the ‘berserker’ part of the character. This will help the dual-wielding to become more destructive. There is a skill in this tree, the Yippe Ki Yay skill, that will grant the Gunzerker more time for each kill, so taking out a large group of enemies will be even more fun.

The second skill tree is Brawn. This skill may be something that will be more useful in multiplayer. There is one skill called Come at me, Bro that taunts enemies to focus on you, reduces damage, and puts you to full health. This would definitely be helpful to your teammates when they need that life-saving distraction.

The final skill tree is Gun Lust. This will focus on providing unique abilities to use with your guns. The skill, No Kill Like Overkill will convert any extra damage you do to an enemy to health for you. So anytime you were in desperate need of health you could switch to your overly powerful shotgun or sniper rifle and get overkill damage to regain health.

You will still be able to select skills from various trees and combine them for better effects. For example, combine Money shot with No kill like overkill will mean the last bullet in your chamber will be more powerful, which in turn will help you regain more health. Also, when using grenades as a Gunzerker you will throw two grenades at a time. However, you get all that extra carnage while still only using one grenade from your inventory. Are you excited now?
