I agree weed is not a gateway drug to those who haven't done anything else. But those people who have weed dealers, and who have done the harder **** before and are trying to avoid that ****, know that the weed dealer has connections to other dealers who deal the hard ****, and if they get some weed, sometimes that can have a trigger effect which is a gateway to the bad stuff.

All the more reason to legalize it. Who's going to risk the back alley, when you can go into a store? No dealers would be needed for pot.

If California is any indication, the stores would have some seriously potent stuff if it were ever legalized. I know many who have claimed that if it were legalized, it'd be a watered down version, and dealers would still be needed. The opposite is true right now in California. The dealers have the shitty pot, and the dispensaries have the primo.

You're right about legalization, but it can still be a trigger for those in recovery or harm reduction. To the average kid who grows up and hasn't done anything else, I agree if it were legal he wouldn't have to worry about buying it, smoking it and have that cloud of criminality hanging over his head. Kids are pretty smart about things these days, especially up here in Canada, and they would know better cause here in Toronto, everybody knows somebody who has been hooked on crack or heroine and knows what it does to people.

What Rogan says about our youngsters being lied to, is the bigger trigger. When you're told how bad and evil pot is all your life, and you finally try it out and nothing bad happens... that's when kids start to question everything else you've talked to them about. So if weed isn't really bad, I bet meth and heroin isn't either!
