So I read the other day on my pulse app for android about IBM's new super computer. Apparently it's capable of 10 quadrillion calculations per second.. crazy big number.

To bring that to perspective, the article said "If every single person in the united states made 1 calculations every second, it would take them almost a year to do what this computer can do in one second." absurd.

But they said that it's going to be used to predict climate change, and calculate the expansion of the universe.

Pretty crazy how fast computers are getting.

can u imagine if that was to run the servers that well... all godaddy has or google then... well i think would have no issues:) LOL but who knows how they are actually putting it to use... and if its able to be used as a "computer"

Most of the time the sole purpose of the super computers is to do advanced scientific calculations. So much so that they usually have a queue of scientists waiting for process time.
