Bulletstorm Demo Blows Up Jan. 25 On Xbox Live

"It can't possibly be that stupid, can it?"

It's the thought we've had from the moment we first saw the game title (which is still Bulletstorm, by the way) to when we heard an NPC call the player a "butt chugger" and "wiener apprentice," or whatever it isthey actually say. Can the game really be this meatheaded and still, by most accounts, be a joy to play? You'll be able to judge for yourself when a demo for the game drops on Xbox Live and PSN on Tuesday, January 25. (If there's a PC demo on the way, EA has made no mention of it.)

The Bulletstorm demo features the score-attack "Echo Mode," which provides a sliver of the campaign with rigid time and weapon constraints, and then compares your score against friends. Your tolerance for being profanely insulted will not, as far as we know, be tested.

Two words: Hell yes!

I've been keeping an eye on this game because it looks too fun! Once I got my hands on it at an EA event last November, it just confirmed what I thought about it. I can't understand why they didn't add a multiplayer to it, though, other than co-op.

I'm excited, loved the look since I first saw it. Apparently I need to get involved in press again and start going back to these event things so I can get enough at those to hold back my excitement.

I totally don't mind. I'm stoked for the game. I think it's hilarious that the game insults you. Not only insults you, but in very creative ways. That is a plus to me.

Also, Daikatana COULD have been awesome too, if the game itself didn't suck. LoL
