Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition

In an age where there is a clear division between first person shooters and brawlers, Zeno Clash blurs the line in one of the strangest and most unique games that has come out in a long time. The setting and characters are some of the strangest you’ll see in a video game. But is it too strange? Is the game a brilliant combination of disparate elements, or just a patchwork of failure?

Thanks, Dat.

I didn't really mention the differences, as Ultimate Edition was basically the only version I've played, but they added some new weapons and moves, as well as a time attack mode (which is pretty much useless; it's the story with a timer and no cutscenes, not even worth mentioning in the review lol). One of the new weapons is the shotgun, which is pretty powerful, and I forget what the new moves were, but they were some kind of grappling moves like a spin kick.

Googled. The new moves are:

  • Two-handed Finisher
  • Elbow Tackle
  • Headbutt
  • Spin Kick

I guess the Elbow Tackle was new. It's actually pretty useful. It's a fast attack that you go into from a run. And the shotgun is very powerful and makes quick work of your enemies, but only shows up in a few areas, like most of the weapons.

Some of the other new weapons are the roothammer, spear and skullhammer. Mostly just new melee weapons that do the same thing. The spear sounds good in concept as a melee weapon that can also do ranged attacks, but it's a bit hard to aim at a distance and can only be thrown once.
