Zeno Clash is a hard game to classify because it is so strange, but the closest you could probably get is to call it a first person brawler. You play as Ghat, whose objective is to smash in the faces of every elephantoid, birdman, and wolf-lady that he sees as he makes his way across the outlandish landscape of Zenozoik in his quest to find the truth about the freakish Father-Mother. The story is fairly obscure, but with enough backstory and interesting characters to keep it entertaining. Of

In an age where there is a clear division between first person shooters and brawlers, Zeno Clash blurs the line in one of the strangest and most unique games that has come out in a long time. The setting and characters are some of the strangest you'll see in a video game. But is it too strange? Is the game a brilliant combination of disparate elements, or just a patchwork of failure?

In addition to these staple modes, Bejeweled 3 brings these unlockable modes; Diamond Mine, Poker, Ice Storm, and Butterflies. Diamond Mine allows players to “dig” for gold and treasure by swapping gems next to the dirt to expose the collectables. In Poker players must create the best hand by swapping gems on the main game board to have that gem appear in their hand of cards. Using the special gems in a swap will increase the total score for that hand. Ice Storm brings rising columns of ice that
    • While the three in the title might lead some to believe this is the third game in the Bejeweled series, it is actually the fifth and the only direct sequel to Bejeweled 2.This fantasy themed variation on the same is a far cry from the original Bejeweled released ten years ago with only two modes of play. Bejeweled 3 provides players with 8 modes of play and 8 types of gems to swap.

Bejeweled 3 brings back 4 traditional modes of play, as seen in Bejeweled 2, and adds 4 new modes. Returning on the platform are Classic mode, Zen mode, Lightning mode, and Quest mode. Classic mode is the basic Bejeweled game at its core. Players continuously swap gems until there are no more moves to make. Zen mode is an endless mode designed to help relax the player with soothing ambient sounds and breath modulation while they swap gems continuously. Lightning mode is the classic time trial mode where players attempt to get the highest score possible within a 60 second window. Quest mode provides 40 unique puzzles each containing mini games with tailored objectives different from the standard game.

Speaking of controls, this may be the only problem I have with the game. You control The Gunstringer’s movements with one of your hands (Depending on whether you’re left or right handed.) and with the other you control the guns, sword, or fist. Each level starts with you picking up The Gunstringer and getting started with the level. With your free hand you aim your “gun” as if you were a child playing cops and robbers. As you select up to six targets with the reticule, you jerk your hand back as
    • Twisted Pixel is known for their breakout Xbox Live Arcade Games The Maw, ‘Splosion Man, Comic Jumper, and Ms. ‘Splosion Man. Will their first disc based game live up to the standards of their previous endeavors? Will The Gunstringer be the first “Must Buy” game for the Xbox Kinect add-on? I’ve played it and in the paragraphs below, I will answer all of these questions. Not to spoil it or anything, but the answer is YES!!

As I said, Twisted Pixel is known for their XBLA games. Their wit and comedy are infused in to every game and The Gunstringer is no exception. Right from the start you are give a sense of how things will go down. You are The Gunstringer, a double crossed cowboy that has come back to life as a skeleton marionette to take revenge on your posse. Sure, it sounds like a simple enough setup; however the presentation of the game as a miniature theatrical production makes things a lot different. As such, the characters and backgrounds are made out of everything from cardboard, to wood, to pipe cleaners. Also, being a theatrical production, all this takes place in front of a live studio audience. At key moments you get glimpses of audience reactions and there is also the occasional human hand intervention in to the story. This really does add to the effect of the game. It’s great fun to see an audience reaction as you smash the face in of a half crocodile, half lumberjack creature, or to see a somewhat Mystery Science Theater-esque crowd in front of sections of the game, cheering and high-fiving each other. The aesthetics of the game really go a long way to making you enjoy the game

even more and the ending sequence had me laughing so much I kept losing control of my guns on-screen.

I’ll be honest. Not well. I went into this game with the expectations not of the game surpassing the original Amnesia, but at least holding the same ground; the same terror, the same unsettling feel. Expecting too much would have just been letting myself down from the get-go, it's a formula for failure; but it's certainly fair enough to expect the game to be at least as successful as it's predecessor. Without divulging too much of the storyline, it's difficult to explain exactly where A:AMfP wen

Overall story is nonexistent here. You are a ship that is set loose in a puzzle with fairly straightfoward tasks. Light the stars, collect the items, or cross the line before the time runs out. It sounds simple, but once you get going in the level, controls are limited to attaching to posts around the level and using momentum as your control. Zero gravity also play a big roll here. The latest game takes us back to the Hyrule from the SNES days. It not only takes us back there, but literally uses the exact same map from A Link To The Past and this is my only extremely minor complaint with the game. The map felt all too familiar and a tad bit lazy on Nintendo’s part. While this was a very slight downside to the game, it is in no way a detriment to the game and can also be viewed as strong suite. When The Legend of Zelda released in 1987 I was 8 years old and it quickly became one of my favorite game franchises of all time. Through the years I have played and still own every single Legend of Zelda game that has been released. From the 1987 classic, to the downright travesties of the CD-i games, all the way through the latest A Link Between Worlds, I’ve played them all through to completion. While the original is still my favorite, I have loved them all (Yes even the terrible ones). Not only is the cake not a lie, but you can have seconds! Portal 2 is the sequel to the massively successful Portal, which quickly ascended to cult status, with many of its elements becoming memes that can be found on practically any gaming forum today. But does it live up to the charm and originality of the first game?

Short answer: YES. Portal 2 is every bit as good as the first, and better in almost every way. From beginning to end, it had a much more cinematic feel to it, with more characters involved and much, MUCH larger set pieces than the first. Whereas the first game was mostly a series of smallish chambers, with some parts where you get to go outside of the testing area towards the end, Portal 2 allows you to explore a great deal more of Aperture Laboratories. Though the game is still linear, there is a lot of detail that can be seen in the environments, from turrets being built and packaged, to the inner workings of the tube based weighted cube transportation system, and much more.

How many games let you slaughter kittens? Not many. Not that it's a good thing, but they are good for easy experience points. Kitten slaughter aside, Mark Leung: Revenge of the Bitch contains all manner of hilarious and disturbing content. From getting farted on by b*tchmonkeys, to using jellyfish penises to revive your fallen comrades, this is one very... different RPG.

Mark Leung: Revenge of the Bitch plays like a fairly traditional RPG, with some of the niceties of newer ones like being able to see and avoid monsters in the world without having to worry about random battles every 5 steps. But you will soon discover that the game is anything but a traditional RPG. It is a satirical, messed up version of an RPG, where every monster is some kind of spoof or joke, and all the dialog is simultaneously disturbing and hilarious. If you are familiar at all with RPGs you will laugh a lot in this game. Even if you're not, there is enough clever writing and enough awesome memes in the game that pretty much anyone can find some humor in it. You rarely ever see a game with as many awesome references as Revenge of the Bitch, some of them blatantly obvious, others more subtle. Actually most of them are pretty obvious, but it's part of the games irreverent style, much like Family Guy.

Assassin's Creed II was a great game and improved upon the already revolutionary first Assassin's Creed in almost every conceivable way. With Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Ubisoft aims to improve even further upon an already great series, even adding a completely new multiplayer mode. But is it worth the full price, or is it little more than an expansion?

You don't need to read to the end of this review to know my personal impression of this game. The answer is yes, the game is absolutely worth the full price, and is much more than a simple expansion. It continues the story of Desmond's ancestor, Ezio, while picking up right where Assassin's Creed II left off in the present time line, with Desmond and his new found fellow Assassin's running from the Templar's and seeking sanctuary. Though it doesn't seem possible, Brotherhood actually manages to refine the winning formula of AC2 even further. There is easily as much to do in Rome, though it is a single, connected city (with stretches of countryside in between), as there was to do in all of AC2.

This reviewer hasn’t played a game in recent memory that has hit every mark that I had set for it in my mind. And in most cases it well exceeded my expectations.

Part of the Campaign map Aside from the action-RTS style gameplay, there is a heavy RPG element. The player character levels up and can distribute points into various attributes, skills and weapon proficiencies. Companions and armies level up as well. Characters and companions can be outfitted with many different armours and weapons. Towns and castles live and breathe, their economic situations changing and reflecting the goods that they produce. Armies get hungry and have to eat. Factions send

Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword is a stand-alone expansion to the acclaimed games Mount and Blade and Mount and Blade: Warband. Unlike the previous games With Fire and Sword is based on a historical novel of the same name by Polish author, Henryk Sienkiewicz. It has players enter into an ongoing war between five Eastern European factions during the 17th Century: The Polish Republic, The Tsardom of Moscow, The Kingdom of Sweden, The Crimean Khanate (early Turkey) and The Cossack Hetmanate (early Ukraine).

Therein lies one of the greatest strengths of the game: the ability to create your own history. After making your own character, the game allows players to recruit, lead and manage an army of various units as they fight real time battles in third or first person and carry out strategy tactics on the large campaign map. Players can ally with any faction and even control their own fortresses and towns as a lord of that faction.

All the usual gameplay elements are still here and essentially the same. This time around, after escaping from a septic tank out in the countryside and getting back to civilization, you find yourself in a local festival known as Clapfest. You make your way through the festival, talking to people and picking up odd knick-knacks with which to solve the various problems you run into. It was kind of nice to have the game take place in one mostly contiguous area, as opposed to using a map to travel t

It's the final act and once again Detective Inspector Hector finds himself stuck in a small room without any pants. After confronting and subsequently being captured by the terrorist in the finale of the second episode, Hector once again starts out in a perilous situation where one wrong move and he's up a certain creek - though this time quite literally.

Your main goal in the game is to negotiate with the terrorist, fulfilling his demands to ultimately try to bargain with him for the safety of the hostages. His demands seem strangely noble, including fixing the clock tower, shutting down a porn shop, and helping a tour guide on his campaign to improve the town. To solve all of these problems, you have to go through a series of Zelda-esque puzzles (things like "talk to the guy to get the bucket to fill it with milk to..." etc. etc. etc.). What

Clapper's Wreake. The town that took the "Great" out of Britain. When a terrorist holes himself up in a building with hostages there and no one seems to be able to reason with him, it's time to call in Hector, the so-called Fat Arse of the Law.

Hector: Badge of Carnage is a crude, point and click adventure where you play as Hector, an overweight cop with a sarcastic attitude. Not to say that he's a bad guy, he's a good cop overall, he just lacks hygiene. And pants (initially). Hector isn't overly thrilled about being called upon, but he's the only one left with all of the negotiators killed by the terrorist.

All of the crude humor is intact, from church-themed strip clubs, to French restaurants with questionable hygienic practices, putting unidentified objects on your face to emulate having a beard, and many other uncomfortable scenarios. If you enjoyed the first episode, you will most likely enjoy this one. However I couldn't help but feel that the first game was funnier. Episode 2 still has its moments, but it almost felt like it was trying too hard. One important thing to note is that the length

After the cliffhanger of an ending from the first game, Detective Inspector Hector is back at it again. Going in to confront the terrorist, Hector finds himself staring down the barrel of an automated sniper rifle connected to a laptop, from which the terrorist's voice is coming. The terrorist was never there to begin with. Now Hector has to find a way out of his precarious situation and track him down.

Hector: Badge of Carnage - Episode 2: Senseless Acts of Justice has Hector once again trying to figure out just what's going on in Clapper's Wreake. This time though, instead of following the terrorist's demands, Hector will follow leads on pieces of evidence he found in the industrial building where the terrorist was thought to be holed up and the hostages were supposedly stored. It turns out that there were no hostages to begin with, and now Hector is on the hunt for the real identity and location of the terrorist.
