Confirmed today via Mass Effect 3's Executive Producer Casey Hudson's Twitter is the same-sex friendly option meaning that Commander Shepard can engage in relationship acts with anybody regardless of sex.

Mass Effect 3 is slated for a quarter one 2012 launch and EA will have the game at this year's E3.
