Gearbox, in a "very special" announcement video, have pushed the release out on Duke Nukem Forever from the original May release to June.  See the video below: Some may worry, but we here at Gamercide have full faith in Gearbox and know they need the extra time for making sure this game gets the polish it deserves.  It also gives us more time for the impending demo, whenever that comes out.

EA has aquired one of the most successful social and causal gaming companies in the video game industry, PopCap Games. Announced late in the day on July 12, EA paid around $650 million in cash for the company and gave $100 million in shares to certain PopCap shareholders. The aquisition is expected to close at the end of August. No news on what EA's plans are for PopCap who is responsible for such hits as Plants vs. Zombies, Bejeweled, and Bookworm.

Hopefully you do not have your Mass Effect 2 game saves floating around in a cloud save, because EA has confirmed that cloud saves will not carry over into Mass Effect 3. EA also stated that local save files that were moved between consoles using cloud saves will not work either. For those of you that have your Mass Effect 2 save files in a cloud save, you will have to import your save onto an original Xbox 360 hard drive and then transfer it manually to a new console with a USB cord or transfe

Before the Kinect friendly Fable: The Journey releases this fall, Lionhead has announced the Xbox Live Arcade will be getting some Fable action before hand. Fable Heroes will be launching prior to Fable: The Journey and will feature four player co-op and will also tie in with Fable: The Journey by using unlockables and avatars. Fable Heroes has been in development by Lionhead since last April. No specific date or price has been announced for the downloadable title. via Eurogamer

Do not call the upcoming Playstation 3 and Vita Final Fantasy X a "remake", because Square's Shinji Hashimoto will be the first to remind you that it is a "remaster". Sega games on a Nintendo console here in America? That is correct. The ESRB has rated two Sega Game Gear games for Nintendo's 3DS. Gaming retail giant GameStop and the successful online gaming website IGN have merged together in an effort to attract more gamers to do what else, but to visit their websites if that was at all necessary. The details laid out from Kara Swisher's blog, All Things Digital describes the merger regarding the advertising end. Both websites will be sharing traffic as well as advertising their ads on the other website including buttons on IGN for e-commerce buys from GameStop.

Gamers who purchased the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution from GameStop found out the hard way that they did not receive the promised OnLive code that was suppose to be included with each new copy of the PC game. Major Nelson announed today that Xbox Live is looking for help from Xbox Live users for network testing in order to improve service.
