Pretty boring fight but, damn, Mayweather hasn't lost a fucking step. Picked Guerrero apart in like 10 out of 12 rounds. His right hands were nuts.

Now allegations are coming out that Callahan purposely threw the game during Oakland's 48-21 superbowl loss to Tampa in 2003, allegations made by more than one player now.

Two of their best receivers on the field, Tim Brown and the legendary Jerry Rice, both commented in recent interviews that they felt Callahan sabotaged the team and their chances by completely switching the team's game plan less than two days before the big event. Instead of the ground oriented game the team had been practicing, Callahan made the mysterious last minute switch to a pass heavy offense. A switch that ultimately cost the Raiders the loss after Rich Gannon threw five interceptions, with THREE of those returned for touchdowns.

Oakland, boasting the league's #1 offense that year, completely fell apart against Tampa's #1 rated defense. Brown and Rice seem to want to let people know why.

Gruden was the previous head coach of the Raiders just before Callahan. Gruden became the youngest head coach ever to win a superbowl after his victory over Oakland.

I don't know about you guys, but as always I say when there is smoke there is fire. There is already enough shady shit I'm noticing more and more with sports (NFL in particular) and I wouldn't be surprised if Callahan did throw a bone to not only the dude who hired him (Gruden), but also "let" his friend win by switching gameplans. I mean for fuck's sake the whole reason they were going to focus heavy on a running game was because Tampa had THE #1 DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE. They knew if they went to the air so much they would get destroyed, and Callahan did it anyways.

What do you think PK? Just curious since you're a fan too.

Also, their last drive had three glaring problems for me.

1. Clock keeper doesn't start the clock when the ball is hiked. This allows the Pats to run two plays before the two minute warning. Very helpful to them since they had zero timeouts.

2. Brady is about to be sacked, doesn't reach either hash marks and tosses the ball away. If there was an eligible receiver there, I sure didn't see them. Should have been grounding in my opinion.

3. Movement on the offensive line prior to snap. Total false start and no flags were thrown.

Every year this happens and it's things like this that make me stop watching NFL games. I absolutely love football, but the NFL makes me frustrated like nothing else.

I'll need pm'd names and emails of those that want in (i delete them afyer league is set up for privacy reasons). I'm thinking something big this year, maybe a new game or a steam collection for the winner... Depends on what the votes are for. I'm hoping to have the league set by Aug 1st, and then poll for the draft between then and sept 1st.

Wow is all I can say and fucking OUCH.

What a battle. GSP came back from a very lengthy layoff due to a torn MCL, which led to a torn ACL. A devastating, possibly career ending injury. The champ, although showing some signs of ring rust, and was almost put away in the third round, came back to win decisively over a very game Carlos Condit in what turned out to be his toughest fight to date.

Aside from a brilliant kick to the head of GSP from Condit that almost ended the fight early in the third round, the story of this epic battle was GSP and his freakish abilities as a wrestler. Repeatedly taking Condit down at will, defending his sweeps and sub attempts while controlling long enough to pass his guard and drop punishing elbows and hammer fists. To Carlos' credit, he did stay busy from the bottom, landing some shots, regaining his guard repeatedly, almost pulling off a sub and damn near finishing the fight in the third round.

In the end, GSP's superior athleticism and wrestling (though he was no slouch on his feet) was what won the battle. He opened a cut over Carlos' right eye in the first round that plagued him for the rest of the night, though Carlos did land a beautiful head kick in the third round after a brilliant combo setup which almost ended the fight.

GSP was able to hang on and recover, compose himself, then actually go on to steal the round with his wrestling, Jiu Jitsu defense and ground and pound. From there he controlled and punished Carlos the entire fight. I ain't gonna lie though, I was shitting bricks when Georges went down. He hasn't been hurt like that since the Serra fight, and we know how that turned out... I thought it was over for sure.

Folks criticize GSP's style because he doesn't always finish fights. I for one, think he made an awesome comeback. Do you have to finish your opponent to win impressively? Dana didn't think so, awarding them with the fight of the night, both earning an additional $70,000 bonus. Not too shabby. There's no doubt both guys have hearts of champions and left it all in the ring.

So what's next for the champ? A superfight with Anderson Silva (who was present for this fight)? Nick Diaz? Johny Hendricks (who is on a 3 fight winning tear with another impressive first round knockout over Martin Kampman on this same card)? GSP said he will fight anyone at 170. Silva has fought at that weight in the past, and has been very vocal about wanting this fight at a possible catch weight. I would like to see either one of the three I mentioned.

Coto, who fell to 37-3 was guaranteed his biggest purse ever, $8 million.
