So, no talk at all about the Switch. I get it, it’s unothodox and Nintendo kind of shit the bed with the Wii U, but we would all be remiss if we don’t give it some props here. It is a GREAT system. It has a pretty killer first party library and, for my money, one of the best indie libraries ever out on consoles. Much less hybrid console.

Breath of the Wild was and is one of the most amazing reinventions of a franchise to ever happen. It takes all the core elements of a Zelda game and flips them on their head. It’s obvious it’s a Zelda game, but it’s something much much different. It’s well worth the time to play.

All that said, the game that is the real system seller here is Mario Odyssey. It fully deserves all the hype it’s garnered and then some. Everything I said about Breath of the Wild goes 10 fold for the Mario franchise. Mario 64 was the pinnacle of Mario games (With Mario Sunshine) right behind it, but Odyssey surpasses everything I’ve imagined a 3D Mario should be or even could be. It’s my game of the year and possibly my game of the last 5 years. Maybe more than that. It’s just that good.

Long winded way of me saying the Nintendo Switch is a VERY good system and I’m so glad the big N is back to creating great things and an actual player in the console market again. I love seeing the sales numbers and their name being at the top for the last few months. Great stuff and I may have a full Odyssey review by the end of the week. ??

Skylanders Trap Force - Wii U

Has anybody played this or bought if for their kids? We were at Best Buy and of course Granite and Logan spotted it and want it for Christmas. We just bought them Skylanders Swap Force last year and I don't want to buy another starter kit for another Skylanders game if it sucks, because they are pimping this series out like crazy each year.

Finally was able to get a copy today (wii exclusive). Its been getting great reviews and it has real-time combat. Basically a JRPG from Mistwalker and AQ Interactive. Likewise it also sports coop and competitive online battles for 2-6 players.

Apparently it's a Gamestop exclusive (vomits), but this amazing masterpiece of an RPG is hitting North American shelves tomorrow.

If you have a Wii, and like RPGs, I highly suggest picking this up!

legend of zelda Timeline revealed?

For years and with every new entry to the series fans have speculated as to how the Zelda games fit togeather. The main problem has been through the time paradox created by the ending to Ocarina of time.Well finally nintendo has indicated how the timeline works.

This is quite frankly the craziest thing I've seen done. Using the New Super Mario graphics, this guy created Super Mario Bros 3 in its entirety and a ton of other stuff. If you are a Mario fan, be sure to check this out.

Here's a crazy story .. so I'm fat .. okay I really should do something about that instead of drinking my woes away. I've had the Wii Fit Balance board for 1 or 2 years now .. Tam uses it a lot and I did at the beginning, stopped for a while and over the past couple months decided that I should try to get rid of a few extra pounds use this thing everyday on top of our regular gym exercising. Well now my Balance Board is busted and all ****** up with an error message that repeats "Please step off me and hit A..". I called tech support, who was very nice but was useless and now if I want this thing working I have to send it in for repairs. It'll be somewhere around $50-$70 to fix the stupid thing. I normally wouldn't be to upset about it but I hate Nintendo so much and with the Playstation Move and Xbox Kinect coming out soon I really can't imagine using the Wii for anything BUT Wii Fit.

I hate you Nintendo .. I hate you so much!

Wii 2 supposedly confirmed, and as I've been thinking the same thing since last October... I kinda believe it. Reported from ******, Game Informer apparently was able to sneak some info about Nintendo's upcoming announcement at E3 about the 2012 release of the Wii II. Okay... I haven't played my Wii for...I don't even remember how long. I turned it on tonight and tried to play some of my virtual console games and they won't work. The screen goes out...well, the screen actually goes to the normal TV picture for when there's no input, but there's still sound. If I hit the home button, the screen turns back on, but if I try to go to the game again, the picture goes out again.

I'm only using the standard a/v cords and a Sony LCD TV. I know for a fact that they used to work, but it was probably on a different TV (probably my Mitsubishi DLP that crapped out on me). Anyone have this problem or know what's going on with it.

I hardly ever play my Wii, but it'd be nice to be able to play the games that I paid for when I want. Was kinda wanting to play some Toe Jam & Earl tonight.

Watch as Samus walks through a war zone in the Zero suit and explains a little about the games plot that Team Ninja is putting together in their upcoming game for the Wii. I hope to get a better copy of the commercial later today, but this will have to do for now. Enjoy!

this game is the only reason i picked up a wii. me and my two friends have been big fans of the game since we started playing it on the psp a few years ago. anyone here have it? wouldnt mind getting to play with some more folks on here.

Anyone have red steel 2? I recently picked it up in as super value pack.

It's way better than the first. The gun and swordplay actually work now, and the controls make sense now. Also the graphics are very borderland like, to make up for the wii's limited abilities.

On the downside, the mini map is very terrible, and while searching the open world I often get lost.
